MoMA Display – MistyWest (2013)

MistyWest was contracted to design the electrical and mechanical components to realize an interactive display for the Museum of Modern Art in New York.  I worked on the mechanical design and CAD files for the shark, puppet and giant littlebits components. I was also responsible for creating the flat patterns of all the origami for laser cutting. The challenge was to create mechanisms out of simple materials (such as balsawood and paper) that could be powered by littleBits - an opensource library of small electronic modules that snap together. These mechanisms were on display in the MoMA store from April to May 2013.
